Day 1

Today was a bit harder than I expected. With church I wasn't able to prepare the foods I wanted but I will still call today a success.

Breakfast: 2 egg whites with cheese
Lunch #1: salad with avocado and tomato with oil and vinegar
Lunch #2: rest of the salad
Snack: green beans and nuts
Dinner: roasted broccoli with onions

I went and visited my parents today and brownies were had and the good news is....I didn't have any and nobody noticed (success). I was afraid if I didn't have one the questions would come out and I didn't want to answer them or tell them I was on a diet (of sorts) so its good they all thought I had one.

Bring It!

Tomorrow it starts. I've never made it through phase I of the South Beach Diet but this time I'm going to. I just got back from a trip and I ate and ate and ate. My body needs vegetables, needs nutrition, needs me to take care of it.

I've got big plans for the rest of the year and I'm going to rock it!
